Dr. Stephen H. Williams is an independent family medicine physician in a solo practice based in Omaha. He was instrumental at the inception of MIPPA in 2009 and has served as its President since 2018. As an independent physician, Dr. Williams is deeply committed to supporting and advancing independent medicine. He remains actively engaged, lending his expertise in healthcare and leadership to strengthen the organization and further its mission.

Tammy Hennings joined MIPPA in July 2020 as the Operations Specialist and was appointed

Executive Director in November 2024. She brings over 20 years of experience in independent

practice management, having previously served as a practice administrator. Tammy provides strategic

leadership and operational oversight to support MIPPA’s mission and its members. She is committed

to delivering exceptional service and fostering strong professional relationships within the independent medical community

Maria joined MIPPA in January 2025 as the ACO Nurse Manager. She brings years of experience in

pediatrics and hospice care, which she now applies to help independent clinics to deliver high-quality,

coordinated care. Maria earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand View University

 in Des Moines, Iowa, and is dedicated to fostering strong provider relationships that prioritize

patient health and well-being.

Michael Goffinet joined MIPPA in October 2022 as Chief Financial Officer. He brings more than 30 years

of accounting and finance experience, including 20 years in executive leadership, and has played a key role

in strengthening the financial performance of several healthcare organizations. Michael is committed to

fiscal discipline and strongly believes in MIPPA’s mission to support independent medicine.
